Contemplative insight from Mepkin Abbey, drawn from our daily liturgical readings and homily. Help us to pray, one thought per day.
Who am I in Christ
His mercy uplifts, faith grows
I'm re-created
Who am I in Christ
His mercy uplifts
I'm re-created
Prejudices cloud
Mind, heart on truth about Christ
Faith is endangered
Hoping for what's more
In the midst of brokenness
Always turn to Christ
Human approval
Rather than God's approval
Never worthy quest
The Father and Son
Never-ending life-giving
In union of will
Get up, pick up, walk
Now, from yester, to morrow
The Lord summons us
Thank God for graces
Signs, wonders abound around
He's always with us.
God in His mercy
Awaits for us to come home
To his full embrace
In humility
Know your truth as God sees you
Live in your own truth
