Contemplative insight from Mepkin Abbey, drawn from our daily liturgical readings and homily. Help us to pray, one thought per day.
In a little while,
You will no longer see Me,
Then, see Me again...
How could I rejoice if this people whom I love were indistinctly accused of my death?
This is too high a price for the "grace of martyrdom" to have to owe it to an Algerian,
whoever he may be, above all if he thinks to act out of fidelity to Islam as he believes it to
be. (...), And for you too, friend of the last hour, who did not know what you were doing. Yes, for
you too I wish this THANK YOU and this A-DIEU. And that we may meet again, happy thieves
in Paradise, if it pleases God the Father of us all. Amen!

Forgive aggressors...

"Where then is freedom?
It is in the heart of one who loves nothing more than God...
Freedom resides in the soul whose one reason for existence is God,
whose life is God
and nothing else but God."
New Life and Freedom
Christ offers through the Spirit
Defying chains, bars
Open to Spirit
Live the grace to be for God
Recognize the Truth
Remain in my love,
My Friends, Do as I command,
Love one another.
belong and be loved
to God and by God, surely
hated by the world
Believe in Jesus,
the Way, the Truth and the Life
and do greater things
To all the nations,
proclaim God's marvelous deeds
keep His love commands
